Engagement  Aug – Nov 2021 (4 months) Operator Mike Reardon

Engaged at the height of pandemic shutdown by a family-run home care services business facing three connected pressures: collapsing revenue from disrupted demand, rising input costs, and an unresolved succession plan with the next generation.

Used the same system to assess the revenue and expense architecture, explore options, and design an out-of-the-box revenue motion, in parallel with a defined succession plan. The work ran as three parallel workstreams rather than three sequential phases because the business could not afford to pause any of them.

Outcome 23-26% revenue growth in early 2022 + 8% reduction in inventory costs + family succession plan established. All three outcomes delivered inside four months, through pandemic shutdown disrupting every input.

Lesson That Travels

“Even in the worst operating conditions, pandemic shutdown and input disruption and succession pressure, uncovering revenue with existing capabilities is possible. Persistent out-of-the-box thinking on a parallel-workstream Blueprint produces what sequential work would have run out of runway to deliver.”

Why This Matters to You

Uncovering new revenue potential within existing capabilities led to growth during the pandemic shutdown. The discipline scales to whatever conditions the business faces, and saying yes to revenue, cost, and succession in parallel is the operator move when the alternative is sequential and the business cannot wait.
